Delicious and easy to make. I made the meatballs ahead of time and put them in the fridge to "marry" the flavors. Next time I'll make them even further ahead. Maybe a double batch, which I'll brown and freeze, finishing them off in the oven when I'm ready to serve them. Loaded with flavor!

Did anyone else think that 2 TABLESPOONS of oil was a little much, especially for a light recipe? When I cooked them in the frying pan it was oily mess everywhere, I ended up sopping it up with paper towels. Maybe it's meant to be 2 TEASPOONS?? Taste was really good otherwise, kids loved them.

Very good meatballs. Next time I will find a side sauce, like for dumplings to have on the side, but really isn't necessary.

My first time making meatballs, and these were delicious! I would cut down on the brown sugar next time, as I prefer a saltier and spicier dish. They were quick and easy, I will definitely be making these again!

Supereasy to throw together, used half ground veal/half ground pork (leftover from making CL's meatloaf bolognese). Rather than a baking sheet just put the skillet into the oven to finish. Served with rice noodles. Pretty tasty.

These meatballs are my stepdaughter's favorite. She requests them every time she comes to our house for dinner. My husband and I agree - they are very tasty. I also like them because they're easy to make. I make them with ground chuck.

Delicious meatball recipe. I was concerned that there wasn't a binder, but the meatballs kept their shape well. I made some brown rice, cooked it up in the rest of the sauce and browned bits from the meatballs, and added an egg for fried rice. It was so good!

The meatballs were very good and I had them again for lunch the next day. I added a little extra scallions to the mix, but overall very easy recipe to make and get on the table. Served peas for an easy weeknight dinner.

These were really delicious...like the other reviews suggested I skipped the salt. I sautéed some green and yellow peppers with some chile paste and hoisin sauce and served it with rice. We loved it!

easy to make and very delicious! We usually swap out the ground sirloin for chicken or turkey but otherwise follow the directions and it comes out great every time.

This was by far the best recipe I've made in a while. So delicious! And relatively easy to make - I set rice to cook, mixed and browned the meatballs while the rice steamed, then finished the rice and made some green beans (sauteed in the same pan as the meatballs to get the good flavor) while the meatballs finished in the oven. 30 minutes later, a complete meal was on the table. Definitely going in the "weeknight" file, but I can imagine so many other uses for this - co*cktail parties, big batch kept warm in the slow cooker for potlucks, etc. Yum!

These were amazing. I forgot the salt but they definitely didn't need it. i doubled the green onions and used crushed red pepper instead of chili paste. Keeper for sure.

These were very tasty. I think next time I will add a little minced ginger, but other than that I wouldn't change anything about them. I served with peanut noodles; it was a good combo.

These meatballs were AMAZING!! So much flavor and super easy to make. I ate them with brown rice, the sauce from the meatballs tasted great on the rice as well. I will definitely be making this again, they would be great as appetizers too.

I thought these were okay. Probably won't make them again though. I think wasabi in the mixture would have been good.

very good. I didn't use the chili-paste because my wife doesn't like things spicy. But they were still tasty.

We really, really enjoyed this recipe. The only change I made was adding about a tsp of fresh minced ginger. I planned to add the hoisin at the end, the way some others mentioned, but I didn't feel they needed it. Normally, I wouldn't brown meatballs before baking, but I feel like this step really added to the flavor. I served them with stir fried rice noodles and steamed string beans. I'd definitely make these again.

I really like this recipe, but I can't seem to get the meatballs to taste how I want them. When I followed the recipe exactly, they were a little too sweet. Next time I made them, I cut the sugar in half and doubled the chili paste. Still, something was off. They are definitely delicious and I will keep making them, trying out different ratios and combinations of ingredients each time.

I love this recipe, but I did think it was missing a little something, so I have added about a teaspoon of ginger paste to the meat mixture, then after I bake them, I roll them in hoisen sauce. We've had them several times now and love them.

LOVED this recipe! What an interesting take on classic asian food. The flavors were wonderful. I added a tiny bit of sesame oil to the rice as well as some green onions, the chili paste, and some soy sauce to taste. I didn't get 20 meatballs out of 1 lb of meat but it was definitely enough for my husband and myself with plenty of left-overs.

Served it as an appetizer and it was delicious. I did not add the 1/4 tsp salt since soy sauce and chile sauce already contain enough salty flavor. Very easy to throw together!

Turned out far too salty for my taste, and I measure ingredients quite carefully. Not worth the amount of dishes (mixing bowl, skillet, baking sheet, etc) for the outcome.

My husband and I thought this was fabulous! Great rich flavors with just the right amount of heat. It was easy to make, I even made the sauce a few hours ahead of time and just threw in the meat when I was ready to fix dinner. I served with brown rice and sugar snaps. Delicious! A great casual company dinner or throw the meatballs in a chafing dish as an appetizer.

We really enjoyed this recipe. I used ground turkey instead of beef and increased the sambal oelek slightly (we prefer things a bit spicier). I served this with steamed broccoli and brown rice with some dark sesame oil and sambal oelek added. While shaping the meatballs the mix seemed very wet, but they turned out moist and delicious. I think they would be good smaller as an appetizer as well.

Interesting Asian flavor and quick and easy. Be sure to serve with other Asian flavored sides to enhance the meat balls. I made the mistake of serving with Asparagus, but it would taste better with an Asian coleslaw.
